A little background

About me

I’m Göktürk, a Computer Engineering student at Ege University. I like building things, especially software that solves interesting problems or turns an idea into something people can actually use.

I started taking programming seriously in high school, when a few friends and I formed a team called TheCodingMisfits. We taught ourselves mobile development, built projects, and started entering hackathons. Somewhere along the way, building software went from being a hobby to something I wanted to spend most of my time doing.

Later, I joined The Knowledge Society, where I explored AI applications in healthcare and finance. That led me into the startup ecosystem and eventually to KWORKS, Koç University’s entrepreneurship center.

During my gap year, I worked on several startups, including HEKADES, Stylingmate, and Nova Replica. They were very different products, but each taught me something about engineering, working with people, and what it takes to turn an idea into something real.

Building those products taught me as much through the things that went wrong as through the things that worked.

These days, I’m studying at Ege University and continuing to build Stylingmate, an AI-powered makeup companion I founded in 2024. I’m also interested in open source, AI engineering, and finding interesting people to build things with.

Outside of projects

I enjoy the process of figuring things out, whether that’s debugging a difficult problem, learning an unfamiliar technology, or getting something working for the first time.

I’m always happy to meet people who enjoy building things. If you’re working on an interesting project, putting together a hackathon team, or just want to exchange ideas, feel free to reach out.

dil meselesi

Küçük bir itiraf.

Türkçe devam edebilirsin ama kendimi İngilizcede daha iyi anlattığımı düşünüyorum. İngilizcesini okumanı öneririm 😅
